Desert Dawgs

American company Leader MotorSports Accessories used to be called Desert Dawgs, which is the name of its clever part that attaches to tourers and cruisers to protect feet and legs.
The Desert Dawgs says these parts minimize cold updrafts, repels the road spray that comes from the front wheel and fender. It keeps bug juice off your motorcycle's chrome and your legs, but it still lets air in to cool the engine.

They have pockets to store things and won't change the way the bike handles. They are made to get on and off easily, so you can store them away in the saddlebag if you want when you don't need them. There are specific Dawgs for Harleys, Hondas, Kawasakis, Suzukis, and Yamahas. The latest iteration of the Dawgs fit the new Kawasaki Nomad 1700 and its big brother, the Vulcan 2000.

Leader MotorSports is a family-owned business in small-town USA founded in 1995 by motorcycle riders. This family of riders take long trips, do some racing, and, since they are based in Minnesota, they know about riding in rainy weather and snow. In addition to the Desert Dawgs, the company has other pieces to add to bikes, such as the motorcycle-specifc DeluxeCAM camera mount shown below.
