Serious distance  riders need serious protection, but race leathers are not comfortable on long tours. Alpinestars made a high-end waterproof leather sport-touring jacket called the 365 Gore-Tex Leather Jacket to fill this need. This jacket is made with a combination of solid leather and perforated leather panels that lets air in and keeps rain out, thanks to the breathable Gore-Tex membrane lining it. The inner forearm and rear section of the shoulders have stretchy panels, and the front zipper has a neoprene flap to keep water from seeping in. The upper back panel has an edge to channel rain off the jacket.
