Zipty Racing's skid plate for Husqvarna 250 Zipty Racing's skid plate for Husqvarna 450

Zipty Racing's new skid plate for Husqvarna motorcycles was developed by a factory race team, and they have three different ones in stock now to fit the following bikes: One for the 2010 Husqvarna TC 250; One for the 2010 Husqvarna TXC 250; One for the 2008-09 Husqvarna TC/TE/TXC 250 and 2008-10 Husqvarna TC/TE/TXC 450-510. Acerbis's skid plate for Honda CRF 250/450

Acerbis has a new skid plate, too, and this one is for the Honda CRF 250 and 450 bikes. It protects the chassis and engine, and it only weighs 1.1 pound. Acerbis says it is simple and quick to mount using the factory bolts, and that it works great in sand and mud. The lightweight, durable and shock-resistant plate lets the Honda run cooler and quieter than alloy plates, according to Acerbis.

System Tech Racing Brake Pedal Plates for KTM

The people at System Tech Racing (STR) in Loveland, Colorado, determined that both the fasteners and the mating edge to the clutch cover on the KTM off-roaders have an inclination to break the clutch cover if an impact occurs, so STR created a good-looking, replacement brake-pedal plate for these bikes. STR beveled the backside and using round-head screws (which do not have sharp edges) to lessen the chances of breaking the clutch cover. The brake-pedal plate is also pre-drilled for a adding a brush guard. They are available in Orange and hard-anodized gray and it fit all 2003-10 KTM off-road and motocross bikes.

Yoshimura RS-4 for YZ450F

Exhaust gurus at Yoshimura have an RS-4 Exhaust system in both slip-on and full-system configurations for the 2010 Yamaha YZ450F. The RS-4 features a Yoshimura duplex chamber that cancels out negative exhaust pulses and acts as a sort of mechanical baffle before the actual perforated baffle area. Yosh says this improves overall power while lowering the sound emission.

Both the RS-4 Comp Series slip-on
and full systems have a stainless/aluminum muffler construction with a carbon-fiber tip and a 96dB spark-arrested insert. Other optional inserts are available for the slip-on, including a motocross 99dB non-spark arrested version and a 94dB motocross non-spark arrested. The slip-on's stainless tailpipe bolts right onto the stock header. The RS-4 Comp full system has an optional 94dB spark-arrested insert, and, if you're looking for non-spark arrested options, there are motocross inserts in either 99dB or 94dB (which is AMA legal) for the full system, too.
The RS-4 Pro Series full systems have a full titanium construction, and come with a choice of either a carbon-fiber or titanium muffler. Either way, the RS-4 comes with a carbon-fiber tip. The muffler comes standard with a non-spark-arrested motocross insert at 99dB, but an AMA-legal 94dB insert is also available.

Rec MX's Billet Oil-Filter Cover Rec MX's Billet Oil-Filter Cover

REC MX's Billet Oil-Filter Cover for the 2009-2010 Honda CRF450R has S-shaped cooling fins to direct airflow over a larger surface area. This part is CNC-machined from 6061 T6 Aluminum so it is stronger than the OEM cover, according to REC MX, and the makers say that billet has better heat transfer than cast aluminum does. The covers are anodized for longevity and laser-marked with a logo to look sharp. The REC MX Billet Oil Filter Cover comes in red or black and uses the OEM bolts, oil filter and O-ring (new O-ring included with purchase).
