Jordan Jams at Path Valley Holeshot Series TT

SPRING RUN, PA2010 0529 Path Valley TT Jonathan Jordan 29 vs Kevin Bills 13 vs Jason Cunningham 14X

Jonathan Jordan (29, above) easily took a trio of wins at the afternoon TT event at Path Valley Speedway's lightly attended Holeshot Series. With the small turnout, to move things along, several classes were combined with similar classes. While his wins were rather easy, Jordan added some excitement to his first win, in the 450 Modified class. He led Kevin Bills (13), Jason Cunningham (14X, behind Jordan) and Justin Johnson into the infield portion. Coming off turn four, he sputtered, dropping to third, as he'd forgotten to turn on his gas! He was quickly back up to speed, however, taking the lead before the infield and cruising to an easy win.

Jordan easily won the 251-500 DTX contest and 450 Sportsman final, over Tyler Phillips and Dawson Spohn.2010 0529 Path Valley TT Colton Smith 41 vs Jamison Minor 110

Colton Smith (41, above) scored a pair of wins, in the 125 Modified and 250 Sportsman classes. As with most of the finals, whichever rider was the leader going into the infield portion in turn two usually took the win, unless they screwed up. The 125 contest had Smith in front of Jamison Minor (110), Matt Trout and Cody Ebersole. Minor stayed close the entire way.

The Sportsman battle was between Smith and Minor. They stayed close the entire distance.

Smith was involved in the hardest-fought final, in the 250 Modified Four-Stroke class. Bills took the lead going into the infield, with Dylan Winsett behind. Smith stayed close, and on the final lap he tried to get by on the inside as they entered the infield side by side. Bills held his line and they went over the jump side by side, with Bills just pulling ahead and winning by a bikelength.

Devon Gerhart took his first 250 win, in the 250 Modified Two-Stroke class, and was one of the few to make a pass for the lead. He entered the infield behind Minor and Trout but used the front straight to get by Trout at the end of the opening lap and then got by Minor in the same spot on the following lap. Over the last few laps, Gerhart's gas cap was dangling from the side.2010 0529 Path Valley TT Nathan Reichert 16 vs Chase Smith 14

Nathan Reichert (16, above) jumped into the 65 DTX lead, ahead of Chase Smith (14), Lennie Benson, Damon Ream and John Winsett III. Once in front, Reichert checked out, with Ream getting by Benson at the end of the first lap. They stayed close until about halfway, when Benson fell after the jump. Smith fell out of the infield on the final lap.

The 65 Modified contest saw Brandon Price jumping in front of Reichert, Zack Kolsovsky, Chris Thomas and Trevor Williams. Most of the riders spread out, except Kolsovsky and Thomas, whose battle for third went to Thomas on the final lap.2010 0529 Path Valley TT Ken Kolsovsky 67 vs Brandon Price 92

Ken Kolsovsky (67, above) took the 85 Modified (7-11) lead from Brandon Price (92) over the jump, with Tristan Avery close behind. While they stayed close, Ken stayed in front for the win.2010 0529 Path Valley TT Trevor Williams 25 vs Damon Ream 17 vs Doug Cook 78

Trevor Williams (25, above) managed to keep his KTM running long enough to claim the 50 DTX Senior final. Even though he started from the penalty line, he was quickly in the lead, ahead of Damon Ream (17), Doug Cook (78) and Robert Wheatley. Cook kept the pressure on Ream the entire distance and took second on the final lap when Ream fell entering the infield section.
