Monster Energy Sponsors Cup Championship Series
Round 11: Dade City MX

Younger Keylon Takes First Win

DADE CITY, FL

Round 11 of the Monster Energy Sponsors Cup took place under varying weather conditions. The track was already saturated from rain the previous day, and early on race day it started to rain again, lightly at first, but then became heavy right before the first Sponsors Cup moto, and later tapered off to a light rain again for the rest of the night.

The Sponsors Cup, presented by Patriot Chevrolet, took to the track for the first moto, with I-Moto/Huss Drilling's Ian Millett taking the holeshot. Following the Honda rider were Kissimmee Motorsports' Kory Keylon, Tyler Livesay, Butler Brothers' Kyle Keylon, and Andrew Stocker. Millett immediately pulled away, while second through sixth were waging a heated battle. Halfway through, Kory and Kyle pulled a gap on Livesay and Stocker. Kyle moved into second. Millett sloshed to a five-second win over Kyle, Kory, Livesay and Stocker.2010 0703 Dade City MX Kory Keylon 310

The second moto saw Kory Keylon (310, above) abscond with the lead, followed by Livesay, Robert Devonald-Batt, Kyle Keylon and Jesse Freeman. Devonald-Batt stalled and dropped down the order. A three-way battle developed for the lead among Kory, Livesay and Kyle. In the closing laps, Livesay fell, and Kyle ran into him. That gave Kory the gap to take the win. Kyle got back up to take second - barely - over a charging Jason Thomas. Livesay recovered for fourth. Millett stalled on the first lap but sprinted through the pack to round out the top five.2010 0703 Dade City MX Cole Bradford 125

Cole Bradford (125, above) led the first 110 Auto Clutch moto, ahead of Zachary Flanders (511), Ethan Roush (002), J.P. Dagorret (234) and Stephanie Paul (510). Bradford fell, and the order shuffled. Dagorret took the lead during the first lap, followed by Flanders, Roush, Miriam Johnson, and Paul. Roush fell, and Johnson took third. Dagorret took the win, with Flanders taking second, over Johnson. Roush and Trace Edwards rounded out the top five.

Bradford led the second moto, but disaster struck again. Dagorret and Roush battled, going back and forth. Roush got the win, while Dagorret dropped to fourth. Paul and Johnson took the last podium spots, and Edwards got fifth.2010 0703 Dade City MX Logan Flanders 411

The first 85 (7-11) Beginner moto saw Trucks Unlimited's Logan Flanders (411) leading Mason Green (30), Tucker Rosa, (514), Skylor Clegg (798, behind Rosa) and Ryan Garrett (321). Flanders pulled away on the first lap, and MSP H20's Rosa passed Green for second. Green retaliated on the next lap and reeled Flanders back in, but Flanders took the moto win, over Green and Rosa. Garrett passed Clegg to capture fourth.

Green led the second moto, ahead of Flanders, Rosa, Garrett and Ridge Humphreys. Green faltered, and Flanders took control, just ahead of Garrett. Clegg was coming up through the pack after a bad start. Garrett flew by Flanders for the win. Clegg took third, over Green and Barney's Rocket Racing's Dominic Rego.
