District 34 Championship Series
Round 14: Hurricane Hills Sports Center

Snow, Yedinak Top Podiums at Hurricane Hills

CLIFFORD, PA

Hurricane Hills hosted round 14 of the District 34 Championship Series on Sunday, June 13, and Mother Nature did not cooperate. A little more than half of the first set of motos were run before darkening skies finally let loose and dumped more than two inches of heavy rain in a very short period of time, causing flash flooding throughout the area, including the racecourse. The dedicated Hurricane Hills track crew went to work and got the flooded course drained out and raceable in about an hour.2010 0613 HHSC Chris Snow 245

Honda pilot Chris Snow (245, above) topped the podium of the Over 25 B/C division with a perfect 1-1 score, nabbing the holeshot in both motos and riding wire to wire to take both moto wins uncontested.

Snow, Robert Muscovitch, Brad Eamigh, Jose Silva and Aparecipo Silva led the pack out of the second turn at the start of the first Over 25 B/C moto. Snow continued to lead the pack at the start of lap two. Jose Silva, Aparecipo Silva, Eamigh and Eloisio Faria rounded out the top five.

Snow held the point at the start of lap three, with Jose Silva trailing by a measly two seconds. The top four were unchanged when Jagpi Irish took fifth. Aparecipo Silva passed Jose Silva on the flat-track section of the racecourse, taking second.

Snow increased his lead to four seconds by the white flag. Aparecipo Silva closed the gap on Snow to less than a bikelength on the tree-line section but could not make the pass.
