AUSTIN, TX

Round two of the 2010 MSR/Answer ADVMX Championship Series was blessed with a beautiful day, clear skies, and racers ready to race. In the Pro ranks, Cycle Nation rider Ryan Grantom took easy wins in both motos. Just to make things more interesting, track owner Dennis Goehring gave Grantom a challenge: If Grantom lapped Goehring within six laps, he would pay him a bonus. Grantom fell just short of that goal by about five seconds at the finish, but it did make the race fun to watch!

In the Over 25 class, TJ's Cycle/Pro-Action rider Brian Johnson (42, above) pulled the holeshot in moto one, with Kasson's Yamaha-backed Will Kasson (12) right on his heels. Kasson dogged Johnson the entire moto and made his move on the last lap, taking the first-moto win. The second moto saw Kasson pulling the holeshot and taking the win, but it did not come easily. Johnson was on his heels the entire moto, not letting Kasson breathe.

These two also battled in the Over 30 class. Johnson pulled holeshots in both motos, but Kasson waited until the last lap in each moto and then made the pass to take the overall victory.

Motos-n-Photos.com's Robert Teimann pulled holeshots in both Motocross Novice motos and won with ease.

In the Motocross Intermediate class, Robert Adcock put in a great ride to take the day's top spot, but it was not for lack of competition. Jay Sallstrom and D.J. Forrest both gave Adcock fits and made him earn it every moto.

The next event will be a night race on March 27.
