ST. JOSEPH, IL

Gordon Green, the Hillclimb director for AMA District 17 (Illinois) and the District 15 (Indiana) Hillclimb points keeper, released the final standings for the 2009 season.

The Peters family from Neoga, Illinois, were the biggest winners, as dad Matt "Captain America" Peters (above right) took the 250cc, 450cc and 600cc-class titles in Illinois, as well as the 250cc and 450cc titles in Indiana. Son "Lightning Levi" Peters (above left) claimed the titles in both the 50cc and 65cc classes in both states, running the family total to nine titles; Levi also claimed the AMA National Championship title in the 50cc class.

Mike "The Pulverizer" Pulver (above) claimed a total of four championships, winning the Senior (Over 40) and Open Stock classes in both states. "Jammin' Joe" McGurer took three titles, winning both the 85cc Senior Mini and 125cc classes in Indiana, as well as the 85cc Junior Mini class in Illinois.

Kyle Galloway (42, above) was also a triple winner, taking the 200cc class win in Indiana, while claiming both the 200cc-class and 400cc Stock-class titles in Illinois.

The Watson family had a good year as well, with father R.J Watson winning the Open class in both states while son Dakota "D.J." Watson took the 85cc Junior Mini class title in both states.
