| . | Pre-Race Notes: All of the racing yesterday was cancelled due to a thunder storm. It rained all day until 3:00 am this morning. Today the sun is out, it's about 90 degrees and the crew did a great job on the track all through the night. The big news of the day is Langston re-injured his shoulder in practice and will not race today. This year they are running the track in reverse direction, this hasn't been done since '98. |

There's a short delay in the racing due to the extra qualifiers this morning. Stay tuned...The holeshot goes to Narita followed by Brown...Brown is all over Narita and passes him for the lead...Another good start for Brandes on the 4-stroke he's running in third right behind Narita...Brown already has a 7 second lead on the rest of the field...Pastrana is back in 6th spot trying to make his way up to at least make a challenge for the lead...Running order is Brown, Narita, Brandes, Ward, Sellards, Carlson, Fonseca, Pastrana and Sheak...Brown keeps extending his lead every lap by about a second...A Yamaha rider went down in the first turn, we finally figured out it was Ramsey...
Brandes seems to be slowing a bit and Sellards is catching up...Brandes has pulled in to mechanics area and Ward, not Sellards takes over the 3rd spot...Pastrana has gotten by Carlson and is now in 5th spot...Brown is flying out in front just like the first moto at Southwick...Narita on the Factory Suzuki is still running good in 2nd spot with Ward on the 4-stroke behind him...Ward made a pass on Narita back in the trees and now holds down second spot... Running order Brown, Ward, Narita, Sellards, Pastrana, Fonseca, Bonds, Currie, Jesseman, Sheak and Thain...Sellards has now gotten by Narita and moves into the last podium position...Browns lead is over 15 seconds now...Pastrana is not really making a charge back in 5th spot, Brown looks the fastest today...Sellards is now closing in on Ward, trying to take over 2nd spot...Narita is getting some pressure from Pastrana now...They come out of the trees and Pastrana takes over 4th spot from Narita...Brown lead over Ward is about 25 seconds now... Fonseca, Bonds and Jesseman are all in a battle for 6th, 7th and 8th...This is Jessemans best moto this year so far...Fonseca has gotten around Narita and now Jesseman is all over him...Brown is still cruising out in front all by himself...2 lap board is out for brown and the rest of the field, he's got about a 27second lead on everyone else...Brown comes around for the white flag...Pastrana has caught Sellards and is trying to pass him for 3rd spot...Brown wins! They just finished their parade lap...The holeshot goes to...Windham followed by Dowd and Carmichael...Carmichael is all over Windham for the lead already...Windham is still holding off Carmichael after the first lap completed...Running order Windham, Carmichael, Ferry, Hughes, LaRocco, Tortelli, Dowd...LaRocco is all over Hughes trying to get the 4th spot...Carmichael seems to be just following Windham around the track waiting for a chance to pass him...Carmichael jumped passed Windham in a corner but Windham had more of a drive out of the corner and still holds the lead...LaRocco finally makes the pass on Hughes for 4th spot...Tortelli also got around Hughes to put him in 5th spot...
Running order Windham, Carmichael, Ferry, LaRocco, Tortelli, Hughes, Lusk, Reynard, Vuillemin, Dowd and Preston...Windham and Carmichael are having a battle here in the heat and humidity...Reynard has also passed Hughes and moves into 6th spot...Ferry is kind of closing the gap between him and Windham and Carmichael, the top three have a fairly good size lead on the rest of the field...As Art would say Windham and Carmichael are Bar to Bar...Vuillemin now passes Hughes, we are wondering if Hughes is still feeling the effects from his crash last weekend...Guess who came out of the trees in the lead? Carmichael! But Ferry has caught up to both of them...Ferry has passed Windham for 2nd spot and sets his sights on Carmichael... Now LaRocco and Tortelli have caught Windham and it's a 3-way battle...Running order Carmichael, Ferry, LaRocco, Tortelli, Windham, Vuillemin, Reynard, Lusk, Dowd, Preston, Hughes, Lewis and Roncada...Carmichael is still out in front with a 4 seconfd lead over Ferry, but LaRocco is starting to charge on Ferry...LaRocco got around Ferry and now Tortelli is all over him...Tortelli has gotten around Ferry now and takes over 3rd spot...White Flag is out for Carmichael...LaRocco is actually catching Carmichael a bit , but is still about 2 seconds back...Carmicahel wins... 1. The are starting their parade lap now, just a few more minutes for the start...And the holeshot goes to Ramsey followed by Ward...Pastrana is about mid-pack and Brown is running in about 6th spot trying to get to the front...Running order after the first lap is Ward, Ramsey, Sellards, Boniface, Brown, Currie, Sheak and Carlson...Ward is looking real good out in front on that 4-stroke...Pastrana is coming up through the pack, Brown is still in 5th behind Boniface...The top 5 riders are all pretty close, it's still anyones race...If Ward stays where he is he'll be the first to give a 250F an outdoor win...Top 5 are still the same, but Ward has extende his lead a little bit more...Brown must have bobbled back in the trees he lost a position and is now in 6th spot...Ramsey might have broken a silencer, his bike is loud and he's losing some power...
Ward has about a 9 second lead over Sellards in 2nd...Running order Ward, Sellards, Boniface, Ramsey, Brown, Sheak, Jesseman, Pastrana, Currie, Bonds and Buckelew...Brown made the pass on Ramsey and moves into 4th spot behind Boniface...Brown is all over Boniface, if he can get around him he's got some work to catch Sellards...They come out of the trees and Brown got the job done by passin Boniface. Sellards is about 3 seconds ahead of him now...Brown is closing the gap on Sellards little by little...Running order Ward, Sellards, Brown, Boniface, Ramsey, Sheak, Jesseman, Pastrana, Bonds, Currie, Buckelew, Fonseca and Schnell...During that run-down Brown took 2nd spot from Sellards and is on a chase to the finish just a little past half-way... Brown is about 5 seconds behind Ward and gaining on him slowly...Brown closed in on Ward, he's about 3 bike lengths behind him...We have a battle for the overall right now...The fans are yelling and screaming, I'm not sure for who but this is a great race...Brown got him back in the trees, just as the 2-lap board came out...Great patience by Brown in the moto...Pastrana is still back behind Sheak and Jesseman...White-flag will be coming out shortly for Brown...Ward has moved back up on Brown here on the last lap...Brown wins! 1. They just fiished the parade lap...The holeshot goes to Windham followed by Hughes, Dowd and our boy Hoffmaster...Vuillemin crashes and gets up 40th spot...Carmichael is back in about 7th or 8th, they are all bunched up right now...Carmichael went down and he's back in 19th spot now...Running order is Windham, Hughes, Dowd, Ferry, Tortelli, Reynard, Roncada, Hoffmaster, Stiles, Lusk and LaRocco...Windham has about a 10 second lead over Hughes and the rest of the field...Carmichael is up to 14th spot...Ferry is catching Hughes and so are Dowd and Tortelli...Ferry and Tortelli have both gotten around Hughes...Tortelli needs to get to 2nd spot to take the overall...
Running order Windham, Ferry, Tortelli, Dowd, Hughes, Reynard, LaRocco, Carmichael, Lewis, Roncada, Thomas, Preston, Stiles, Vuillemin and Hoffmaster...Windham has about a 22 second lead over Ferry and Tortelli...Carmichael is still moving forward but Windham is 45 seconds ahead of him...LaRocco passes Reyanrd and moves into 6th spot...Ferry went down somewhere in the back and is back to 7th spot...LaRocco just picked off Hughes for 5th spot...Carmicahel just moved into 7th spot... Windham is still cruising out in front, but if it finishes this way Tortelli will get the overall win...The race is winding down with Windham leading, Tortelli in 2nd and LaRocco in 3rd and the are all spread out...Looks like about 3 laps left, not that many position changes at the moment...Windham has about a 23 second lead over Tortelli, but I'm sure Tortelli's mechanic has let him know where he stands...White flag is out for Windham and the rest of the field...Carmichael just passed Dowd and knocked Windham off the podium...There's probably some green paint on that KTM...Windham wins the moto followed by Tortelli and LaRocco... 1.
