The riders just finished their parade lap and are awaiting the start...And the holeshot goes to...Ramsey as he takes an outside line and left the throttle wide open...Running order on lap one is Ramsey, Fonseca, Pastrana, Vohland, Wally Silva, Lamson, Roncada, Schnell, Sellards...Ramsey still holding a lead out front, about 4 bike lengths over Fonseca...Vohland is on the move right on Pastrana...Top ten are the same on lap three...The local rider Wally Silva is running in 5th spot and is pulling away from Lamson...Here comes Pastrana putting the pressure on the Costa Rican rider Fonseca...
The top 4 of Ramsey, Fonseca, Pastrana and Vohland have pulled away a few seconds from the rest of the pack...Silva gives up a position to Lamson who now moves into the top 5 here in moto #1...Vohland almost just landed on Pastrana over the finish line table...The top 4 are still pretty tight, so far this track seems tough to pass on. Kind of a monorail track right now, everyone is just following each other...They come out of the trees and Pastrana has moved into 2nd spot...Fonseca and Vohland tangled coming down one of the hills in the back and are both back in the pack now...Top spots now are Ramsey, Pastrana, Lamson, Roncada, Sellards, Silva and Brandes... We just reached the half way mark and The top two, Ramsey and Pastrana are pulling away from the rest of the pack...Pastrana makes a move on the inside and shows a wheel, but Ramsey is still holding him off...Roncada is now banging it up with Lamson for 3rd spot...and Pastrana gets around Ramsey in the same spot he tried a lap ago, a 4th gear rough straight through the middle of the track...He instantly starts pulling away from Ramsey and has clear track in front of him...We are starting to feel a cool breeze, the rain might be here soon... Pastrana has already extended his lead to 8 seconds in about 2 laps...Running order is Pastrana, Ramsey, Lamson, Roncada, Sellards, C. Johnson, Silva, Wey, Vohland, D. Smith, Schnell, Fonseca, S. Carter...Lamson must have made a mistake, he is back to fifth and Roncada and Sellards move to 3rd and 4th...Roncada and Sellards have moved up on Ramsey and it's a3-way battle for 2nd spot...Ramsey got passed by both Roncada and Sellards...It just started raining here almost at the end of Moto #1... Lamson is now all over Ramsey for 4th spot...Pastrana is way, way out in front, very Carmichael-like...Denny just said Pastrana's lead is around 26 seconds with one lap to go...Pastrana wins and the crowd is screaming...Roncada gets second and Sellards third... 1. lightning just hit about 1 yards from us and everything went dead. MotoRadio's equipment is smoking downstairs and my computer had a shock go through it...The holeshot goes to Shayne King followed by Reynard the Huffman...Larocco and Carmichael go down half way through the first lap...Running order after 1 lap is King, Reynard, Windham, Ward, Tortelli, Huffman, Dowd, Lusk, K. Johnson...There's still lightning all around us. If I stop typing my hair is probably smoking and standing straight up...Windham has moved to second spot and is chasing Reynard who has about a 5 bike lenght lead...Vuillemin is on the move last lap he went from 13th spot to 9th...The track is perfect right now, the little bit of rain helped out and it has cooled off also...Reynard is extending his lead now over Windham, he is about 4 seconds ahead now...MotoRadio's equipment has stopped smoking from the lightning strike and they are working again...Running order after 5 laps Reyanrd, Windham, Tortelli, Lusk, Ward, Dowd, Vuillemin, Albertyn, Huffman, King, K. Johnson, Carmichael, Povolny, Ferry...Reynard is still pulling away from the rest of the pack after about 6 laps, we'll see if he can hold on to the finish...Tortelli has passed his teammate Windham for 2nd...
This could be a Suzuki moto 1 sweep if Reynard can hold his lead, right now it is 5 seconds over Tortelli...Tortelli has taken the lead from Reynard, who must have made a mistake in the back section...Also Vuillemin has not come by for a few laps, might have bike problems or has crashed...Running order Tortelli, Reynard, Windham, Lusk, Albertyn, Dowd, Carmichael, Ward, Huffman, King, Ferry and LaRocco...Tortelli already has about a 10 secon lead over Reynard...Carmichael crashed again while running 6th, he's up and OK though...LaRocco is riding very slow around the track, he might have bike problems from the tangle with Carmichael on lap 1... About 6 minutes and 2 laps left in this first 250cc moto...Lusk has moved up on his teammate Windham and is going for that 3rd spot position...Lusk has gotten around Windham for 3rd spot, so the top 5 are Tortelli, Reynard, Lusk, Windham, Albertyn...Tortelli's lead is about 16 seconds over Reynard and then Lusk is about 3 seconds behind Reynard...Still haven't heard yet what happened to Vuillemin...2 lap board is now out for Tortelli who is well out in front and looks to have this one all wrapped up...Carmichael and Albee are going for it here on the last lap, and Carmichael passes him on the rough straight...Tortelli wins. 1. Sebastien Tortelli (Hon); 2. Robbie Reynard (Suz); 3. Ezra Lusk (Hon); 4. Kevin Windham (Hon); 5. Ricky Carmichael (Kaw); 6. Greg Albertyn (Suz); 7. John Dowd (Kaw); 8. Larry Ward (Kaw); 9. And the holeshot goes to...David Pingree followed by Fonseca and Lamson...Vohland and Pastrana have already moved into 3rd and 4th spot...Running order is Pingree, Fonseca, Vohland, Pastrana, Lamson, C. Johnson, Wey, Currie, Silva and Dostal...Vohland and fonseca both go by Pingree on the outside for 1st and 2nd spot...Vohland goes around Fonseca to take the lead, Pastrana also moves by Fonseca for 2nd spot...It's Vohland and Pastrana out in front pulling away from the rest of the field, but Pastrana is all over Vohland who might be slowing Pastrana up...
Pastrana gets passed by Fonseca as he is trying to throw his goggles off, but jumps right back on the inside in the next turn. He's got a long way to go in the sand with no goggles...Running order is Vohland, Pastrana, Fonseca, Lamson, C. Johnson, Pingree, Roncada, Currie, Dostal, Reid, Wey, Sellards, Buckelew, Larusso, D. Smith, K. Johnson, Ramsey, Preston, Lytle and Schnell in 20th...Lamson has now gotten around Fonseca for 3rd spot...Pastrana is now starting to catch Vohland. Vohland finished 5th in the first moto, so Pastrana would still get the overall if he gets second, but I think he wants to win this one also... Vohland and Pastrana bump in the air and Pastrana comes out with the lead...Vohland is not letting him get away, after that last lap he's only a bike length behind Pastrana...Vohland has now gotten around Pastrana as they come out of the trees...Running order on lap 12 Vohland, Pastrana, Lamson, Roncada, C. Johnson, Fonseca, Pingree, Wey, Currie, Dostal, Schnell...Vohland has now pulled a little lead on Pastrana, maybe 7 or 8 bike lengths... Lamson is running in third spot all alone and then Roncada a ways back, but on the move...2 laps to go and Pastrana is still right on Vohland's rear wheel...He needs to make a move here with a lap to go...They almost collide in the air again in the same spot, but Vohland still holds the lead...2 turns later Pastrana makes a move and took the lead on an inside pass. Vohland is right there though...Pastrana holds off Vohland for the win, with a huge Heel Clicker over the finish and a hug from Roger. Vohland takes 2nd and Lamson 3rd... 1. Travis Pastrana (Suz); 2. Tallon Vohland (Kaw); 3. Steve Lamson (Hon); 4. Stephane Roncada (Yam); 5. Casey Johnson (Yam); 6. Ernesto Fonseca (Yam); 7. David Pingree (Suz); 8. Nick Wey (Kaw); 9. Paul Currie (Hon); 10. And the holeshot goes to...Shayne King again! then Carmichael and Huffman...Reynard got stuck in the first turn and is dead last...As they come by the start Carmichael passes King for the lead...Larocco a good start and is in 3rd place, we found out he had a cracked pipe in the first moto...Running order Carmichael, King, LaRocco, Huffman, Windham, Narita, Lusk, Albee, Treadwell, Ferry and Vuillemin...Carmichael has a gigantic lead already over King...LaRocco has gotten around King for 2nd place...
Running order after 5 laps Carmichael, LaRocco, King, Huffman, Albee, Vuillemin, Windham, Lusk, Dowd, Tortelli, Ferry, Reynard, Ward...Carmichael is just cruising out in front, not much position changing at the moment...there are huge sand berms everywhere, most these guys aren't even letting off in the corners...We've got a freight train in the works, 4th place Albee then Windham, Tortelli, Reynard and Lusk...Reynard is the fastest guy out there right now, he's gone from last to 7th spot... Carmichael has 10 second lead over LaRocco in second spot then aways back to Vuillemin in 3rd...Running order Carmichael, LaRocco, Vuillemin, Tortelli, Reynard, Albee, Windham, Dowd...We can't seem to find Lusk right now, he might have had bike problems...White flag out for Carmichael, looks like he's going to get the overall...Lusk came around now, but at a slow pace... Carmichael wins, followed by LaRocco, Vuillemin, Reynard, and Tortelli... 1. Ricky Carmichael (Kaw); 2. Mike LaRocco (Hon); 3. David Vuillemin (Yam); 4. Robbie Reynard (Suz); 5.
