Unadilla Pre-Race Notes:


Welcome to round 6 of the Chevrolet Motocross Nationals live from Unadilla. Today's broadcast is brought to you by Yamaha.

Yesterday's rain has gone away for the moment, but the clouds are still hovering, lets hope that the showers don't return.......
The track is in the best shape it has been in years, the grassy track soaked up all the water from yesterdays rain.......
Roost deflection. All the bikes are loaded with hand guards, pipe guards, and any other piece of protection that is made. The infamous Unadilla rocks have have been dug up and are scattered all over the track.

125cc Moto One:


After the opening ceremonies we will be under way.....

They are on the parade lap now....

The gate drops, and the holeshot goes to.... Schnell, followed by Walker, Roncada, D. Smith, Millsaps, Tedesco.....

Schnell went down in the second corner and is now at the back of the pack. Walker is now in the lead followed by Roncada, D. Smith, Millsaps, Tedesco, Stewart, Johnson, Adams, Grant.....

Carpetener, Jesseman and Summey are out of the race following a huge first turn pile up.... Roncada just got around Walker for the lead, and Stewart is now third place and is charging....

After three laps the running order is Roncada, Walker, Stewart, Millsaps, D. Smith, Tedesco, Johnson, Highes, K. Smith, Grant, Weigand.....

Stewart just got around Walker, the two leaders are starting to pull away from Walker.... Stewart is all over Roncada, but Roncada is holding him off.....

Stewart just got around Roncada after a huge leap out of Gravity Cavity.... Stewart is pulling away, and Roncada just went down and now running around eighth...

The running order is Stewart, Walker, Millsaps, D. Smith, Hughes, Johnson, K. Smith, Grant, Swenapool, Lallaz, Tedesco, Ramsey, Weigand, Mills, Brown.......

Roncada just pulled out of the race..... Stewarts lead is up to 14 seconds over Walker.... Brown is now starting to pick up the pace after a first turn crash and is now running in the 12th spot.... Millsaps just got around Walker for second....

Brown is now in tenth and is moving up, The running order with 10 minutes left in the moto is Stewart, Millsaps, Walker, Hughes, D. Smith, K. Smith, Johnson, Grant, Lalloz, Brown, Ramsey, Mills, Tedesco, Weigand, Boniface....

Stewart's lead is now 21 seconds ahead of Millsaps, followed by Walker who is 3 seconds back. Gosselaar just crashed and is riding off the pace.... Grant is all over the back of Johnson....Grant just got around and is now running in seventh....

Brown just pulled up to the rear wheel of Bryan Johnson and is pressuring him for eighth.. Johnson is holding off Brown, Brown just went down and is banging is bars to straighten them out, he is now running in the number 11 spot.

The two lap board just came out, Stewart has a huge lead.... Broc Hepler is now the 12th spot after being involved in the first turn pile up.... Stewart just took the white flag, and is on cruise control....

Stewart takes the win followed by Millsaps, Walker, Hughes, D. Smith, K. Smith, Grant, Ramsey, Mills, Johnson, Brown, Hepler, Weigand, Gray, Boniface, Lalloz.

They are on the parade lap now...
The gate drops, and the holeshot goes to..... Carmichael, followed by Reed, Byrne, Rodrigues, Tortelli and Casey Johnson.....

Carmichael is starting to pull a lead over Reed after 1/2 a lap.... Rodrigues just went down and is running mid pack.... The running order after the first lap is Carmichael, Reed, Byrne, Tortelli, C. Johnson, Vuilllemin, Fonseca, Hamblin, Voss, Ferry, Modjewski, Lewis, Wey, Mason, Windham.....

The weather is starting to get bad, it will be raining shortly.... Vuillemin just got around Casey Johnson for fifth, Michael Byrne is putting in a good ride in third... The rain is now coming down hard. Carmicheal now has a 7 second lead over Reed followed by Byrne.

Tortelli has just got to the rear wheel of Byrne, Ferry just got around Fonseca and is starting to pressure C. Johnson for 6th. Sean Hamblin just went down hard and is laying on the side of the track. Byrne is doing everything he can to keep Tortelli behind him, but Tortelli just got arouund for fourth. Kevin Windham is on the move and is running in eighth.....

Ernesto Fonseco just pulled into the mechanics area and looks to have some problems. Tim Ferry just Casey Johnson, and so did Kevin Windham. Half way into the first moto the running order is Carmichael, Reed, Tortelli, Byrne, Vuillemin, Ferry, Windham, C. Johnson, Voss, Lewis, Wey, Aubert, Modjewski, Mason......

Carmichael now has a 12 second lead over Reed. Voss Just got around C. Johsnon for ninth, Kevin Windham just got around Tim ferry for the sixth. The rain has gone away... for now. Nick Wey just pulled up to the back of Casey Johnson. Tim Ferry just got back around Windham, but Windham is fighting back....

Carmaichael and Reed is all alone in first and second, and Tortelli is running a strong third. Windham just back around Ferry for sixth. Wey finally worked his way around C. Johnson for ninth.

The two lap board just came out, Carmichael seems to have this thing in the bag. He just lapped Ryan Clark who is running in the 15th spot. The white flag just came out, and Carmichael takes the win followed by Reed, Tortelli, Byrne, Vuillemin, Windham, Ferry, Voss, Lewis, Wey, C. Johnson, Aubert, Modjewski, Clark, Povolny.

125cc Moto Two:


We got a little rain during the intermission, but it seems to be stopping for the moment.

They are on the parade lap now.....

The gate drops and the holeshot goes to....Broc Hepler followed by Stewart, Walker, Brown, Millsaps. Stewart is already in the lead after two turns. Ryan Hughes, Nathan Ramsey, and Matt Lalloz were involved in a secend turn crash and are at the back of the pack....

After one lap the running order is Stewart, Hepler, Walker, Brown, Millsaps, K. Smith, B. Johnson, Grant, Tedesco, Gray, Mills. Stewart is 6 seconds ahead after the first lap. Millsaps just got around Brown, and is pushing Walker for third. Hepler just went down and is now back running around the fifth position.....

Stewart is already checking out in the lead. Millsaps is all over the rear wheel of Walker, and is charging. Grant is all over K. Smith for sixth, but Smith is holding him off. Stephane Roncada just pulled off and is out of the race.....

Millsaps and Walker are going at it, Millsaps tried to get around, but Walker slammed the door. On lap #6 Stewart is gone, he has a 22 second lead. Millsaps just got around Walker for second.....

After 7 laps the running order is Stewart, Millsaps, Walker, Brown, Hepler, K.Smith, Grant, Mills, Swenepool, Jesseman, Gray, Metcalfe, Kinary, Hurley. Millsaps is starting to put a gap on Walker. Josh Grant just flew passed K. Smith out of Gracity Cavity.....

Ryan Hughes is putting in a good ride coming from dead last all the way to 15th. He just picked up to more spots when a lapped rider got in the way of Kinary and Hurley....

With four minutes left in the moto there is a good battle forming for the second position involving Millsaps, Walker, Brown, and Hepler. This battle is going on 30 seconds behind Stewart. The two lap board should be coming out right now, and Millsaps put some ground on Walker.

James Stewart just took the white flag, now he is 32 seconds ahead on the second place Millsaps. Millsaps bike just broke on the last lap. Stewart takes the checkared flag, followed by Walker, Brown, Hepler, K. Smith, Grant, Mills, Swenepool, Jesseman, Hughes, Hurley, Carpenter, Metcalfe, Gray and Ramsey.

Thay are on the parade lap now...

The gate drops, and the holeshot goes to..... Carmichael, followed by Reed and Michael Byrne. Kevin Windham got a decent start, and he comes around in fourth place behind Byrne. Windham just got around Byrne and is charging toward Reed.

After one lap the running order is Carmichael, Reed, Windham, Byrne, Vuillemin, Ferry, Wey, Anderson, Tortelli, Voss, Polvolny, Thomas, Lewis, Fonseca. Tortelli just got around Anderson for the seventh, and is up to the rear wheel of his teamate Wey.

Reed is not letting Carmichael go, he taking all the chances trying to stay close with RC. Tortelli just got around Wey for the sixth. Ferry just passes his Yamaha teammate for the number five spot. Byrne dropped off the pace, and let Ferry and Vuillemin get by.

The runnimg order after 7 minutes is Carmichael, Reed, Windham, Ferry, Vuillemin, Byrne, Tortelli, Wey, Voss, Anderson, Fonseca, Thomas, Lewis, Clark, Thain, Polvolny, Modjewski... Windham is now up tp the back tire of Reed, and is trying to get around. The man on the move is Sebastien Tortelli, he just got around Byrne and Vuillemin.....

Windham just got around Reed for second, and Byrne just back around Tortelli for fifth, Vuillemin is slowly creeping up on the Tortelli - Byrne battle. Tortelli jjust got back around Byrne and is pulling away.

Carmichael's lead is now up to 14 seconds on the second place Windham. David Vuillemin just came up to the rear wheel of Michael Byrne. He only has 5 minutes left to try to get around.

The running order is Carmicheal, Windham, Reed, Tortelli, Byrne, Vuillemin, Wey, Voss, Anderson, Fonseca, Lewis, Thomas, Clark.... Vuillemin had a problem, and he dropped off the back of Byrne, and Nick Wey got around him for the sixth spot. Tortelli looks like he is getting tired towards the end of the moto and Michael Byrne is catching him.

Michael Byrne is now on the rear wheel of Tortelli, this is the battle for the top two stroke machine in the race. The two lap board is out now Carmichael is gone. He just took the white flag. Tortelli has picked up the pace and is now starting to put a gap on Michael Byrne.

Carmichael takes the win, followed by Windham, Reed, Tortelli, Byrne, Wey, Voss, Vuillemin, Fonseca, Anderson, Clark, Lewis, Thomas, Gibson, Aubert. 250 Moto Two Results (Unofficial): 1.
