Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin has added his name to the list of top riders that will miss the start of the 2014 Supercross season due to injury. Musquin, who was scheduled to compete in the 2014 250 East Supercross Championship, suffered a knee injury that will keep the Frenchman off the bike for quite a while.

Musquin, a former MX2 World Motocross Championship, tore his ACL when he planted his foot wrong in a turn. The injury did not seem serious at first but further evaluation revealed the damaged ACL. Musquin, who finished second in last year's East Championship, will return to France this week to have surgery on the knee.

"This is an unfortunate injury, but we know Marvin will do the all steps necessary to recover as quickly as possible and come back when he is 100 percent," said Red Bull KTM Factory team manager Roger DeCoster.
