Newly signed Husqvarna rider Micky Dymond was struck with bad luck at the past weekend’s Navy Moto X World Championship Supermoto race. During the timed qualifying session, Dymond crashed in the off road rhythm section breaking his right leg.

Dymond will have surgery on the leg this week and plans to be healed in time for the first AMA Supermoto season race.

Dymond said, “I’m disappointed but not discouraged. I think we had a solid chance at this event – I felt very good on the bike. It’s unfortunate we could not have shown it, but I’m looking forward to getting back on the bike. Luckily we have some time before the first race.”

The AMA Supermoto series starts July 13th.
