David Pingree going after the `08 Supermoto Championship for Team Azteq USA

Azteq USA is proud to announce its 2008 AMA Supermoto program. The Azteq USA team is based out of the Azteq USA headquarters located in Costa Mesa, California. Azteq USA has signed Dave Pingree to contest the AMA Supermoto Championship Series in the Supermoto Class on Honda CRF450R's.

Dave Pingree finished 2nd in 2007 in the AMA Supermoto Lites Series and is looking forward to focusing his efforts on the 2008 AMA Supermoto Championship Series.

Former AMA Superbike & AMA Supermoto championship crew member, Mitch Leonard, will run the Azteq USA Motorsports teams. Mitch brings a great wealth of experience and has worked with such riders as Colin Edwards, Ben Spies and Miguel Duhamel.

Dave Pingree and the Azteq USA team will make their 2008 debut at the Moto-X World Championships, being promoted by ESPN, and the 1st round of the AMA Supermoto Championship on April 11th -12th at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA. The AMA series will run an 8-race schedule and includes both the Spring Moto-X World Championships, and the Summer X-Games. The 2008 AMA Supermoto schedule runs from April to November with the final event in Las Vegas.
