Laverty Best In Rain

Irishman Eugene Laverty was the man most comfortable in wet conditions today in Portimao as he led the second day of World Supersport testing in Portugal.

Laverty lapped at a best of 1:59.045 to best Brit Chaz Davies on the ParkinGO-backed Triumph. Davies lapped at 1:59.630, a 10th quicker than Honda-mounted Michele Pirro.

The session was red-flagged after a crash involving Bastien Chesaux, with the Frenchman coming out of the crash unhurt.

American Jason DiSalvo ended up eighth in the session with a 2:01.410.
