The 2012 KTM 450 SX Factory Edition

Be Like Ryan

Ryan Dungey's not the only one who will get his hands on the new KTM 450 SX Factory Edition. He just gets his a little sooner.

Dungey will line up on Saturday night for the AMA Supercross season opener at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, with his Factory Edition. The rest of us have to wait until spring. But the bike looks to be worth the wait.

Power for the Factory Edition will come from the new 449.3cc fuel-injected, single-cam, lightweight, four-stroke and that powerplant will reside in an all-new chassis with newly designed black anodized triple clamps and a new one-piece swingarm with a larger diameter rear axle.

The bike also looks "factory" with new bodywork, an orange powder-coated frame, racing seat cover, orange anodized rear sprocket, black Excel rims, orange radiator protectors, Dunlop MX51 tires, black anodized Renthal Fat bar and Factory Red Bull KTM SX team graphics.

In addition, the new bike will include a user-setting tool that gives the rider the software to adjust the fuel injection and ignition mapping.

The bike will sell for $9599 and will hit dealer showroom floors in the spring.
