The 2008 Yamaha V-Max

To The Max

Yamaha gave a progress report on its comprehensive update to the popular and enduring VMAX by displaying a sculpture prototype at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Though key specifications such as engine displacement and power have not been decided, a Yamaha spokeman said that the level of performance of the new VMAX would exceed that of the current model that has been on sale now for 21 years with little changes.

Yamaha claims that this is the first time in the company’s history that a new model this early in the development stage has been shown to the public.
