2004 Yamaha Road Stars

Cruising into 2004…

Information on the 2004 Yamaha line of Road Stars was just released to dealers at Yamaha’s Dealer Business Meeting in Las Vegas on Wednesday, June 4.

The biggest change to the entire line, including the three variants of the Road Star, and two variants of the Silverado, is the increase in engine displacement from 1602cc to 1670cc for a substantial jump in power and torque. Another key area was to improve the bike’s braking capabilities by using new R1-derived monoblock calipers and re-designed rotors on the front of the bike.

In addition to the many mechanical upgrades and improvements, the Road Star has received many subtle but nice styling changes. The most noticeable is the new LED tailights and clear lens turn signals.
