2003 Honda CBR600RR

RC211V Look-Alike!

As expected, Honda has jumped into the battle and developed a new 600cc sportbike for 2003. With new models from Yamaha and Kawasaki, next year should be an awesome 600 Supersport season. The new CBR600RR borrows heavily from the RC211V MotoGP bike, both in terms of technology and appearance. The most obvious visual clue to the resemblance is the under-the-seat exhaust, which gives the bike a really clean profile and massive amounts of corning clearance.

The engine is all new, with a sky-high 15,000-rpm redline. It has a brand-new fuel-injection system, with two injectors per cylinder, an all-new ram-air system, and a larger airbox.

The chassis is brand new as well, with a die-cast-aluminum frame that features a beautiful new RC211V-derived swingarm and 45mm cartridge forks. The styling is totally revamped as well.

The MSRP for the CBR600RR will be $8599. The CBR600F4i will still be available as well in 2003, and will carry an MSRP of $8199.
