Icon1000 Apparel Unveiled

On February 4th, at the V-Twin expo, Icon Motosports unleashed it's latest collection of gear onto the motorcycle market. The ICON1000 line was many years in the making and represents the pinnacle of design and craftsmanship from the ICON team. ICON1000 is a unique blend of reinterpreted classic silhouettes and top shelf materials, all combined with the most modern technology. Not only does the 1000 line posses stunning looks - every item in the line is a true riding product.

The ICON1000 line is a sub-collection within the greater ICON line. The 1000 gear features unique branding and marketing befitting of it's unique design. Though ICON1000 represents a visual departure from historical ICON line, do not to worry, the rest of the traditional ICON line is more active than ever. The entire ICON Spring 12 collection will be officially releasing at the Indianapolis Dealer Expo show on February 17th.
 
The following is a couple of key detail items about the ICON1000 for your reference;
 
- The '1000' moniker is derived from the Icon teams predilection for liter bikes (1000cc's of displacement). While there's absolutely nothing wrong with smaller displacement bikes, of which the Icon team owns a great many, there is no replacement for displacement. Do you remember the first time you road a 1000cc bike - that feeling of immense power and raw horsepower? The Icon crew does and we wanted to bring that moto-euphoria to the masses.
 
- ICON1000 has it's own unique website - www.ICON1000.com - which has a great deal of detail information about the entire line as well as tons of fantastic imagery as well as the 1000 custom bikes. If you are the slightest fan of post-apocalyptic movies you owe it to yourself to check out the site. You'll find behind the scenes info only available online as well as stay informed of the latest ICON1000 events. Wasteland Weekend anyone?
 
- Each ICON1000 jacket features a unique serial number stamped into a metal plaque located inside the jacket. You'll be able to register your ICON1000 jacket on the www.ICON1000.com website and become part of the 1000 tribe.
 
- Every piece of the 1000 line is a true riding product - and riding includes the possibility of crashing. To that end, we have used D3O armor CE armor extensively through the entire ICON1000 product line. D3O is both thin and highly flexible armor, but solidifies at a molecular level when impact forces are applied. The end result is highly protective armor that is extremely easy to wear.
 
- Select items within the ICON1000 collection are 'Limited Edition'. The nature of the aniline and drum dyed leathers used in the line are difficult to produce. Only the finest hides can be treated with these leather processes. The grey and red colored leathers are especially difficult to produce in mass quantities and the availability of these leathers is very limited. Addditonally, colors of the grey and the red leathers can vary from one dye lot to the next. Therefore we offer the Interceptor Grey Chapter Jacket and the Harmonic Red Federal Jacket in 'Limited Editions' based upon our ability to procure leathers that meet are highly critical criteria.
 
- The Branded Shorty jacket is also a Limited Edition item based on it's unique arm graphic application. We have devised a way to uniquely alter every sleeve logo print on the Branded Shorty so that no two are identical - when our supply runs out they will be gone. But not to fear, the regular Stealth Shorty will stay in the 1000 line.
 
- All ICON1000 items will be in stock starting in April, just in time for the spring riding season.
