RC Saves It

Ricky Carmichael at Texas Motor Speedway

In the final practice yesterday for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, Ricky Carmichael got a left rear flat at speed and swapped coming out of turn two onto the back straight. In typical RC fashion he managed to pull out of the high-speed swap without hitting the wall, but he did bring out the red flag to temporarily halt the session so NASCAR officials could inspect the track for debris.

The report from the pits was that there was no damage to RC's Monster Energy Chevy truck and later in the evening he went out and qualified eigth for tonight's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino 400 (167 laps/250.5 miles) at Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth, Texas. The race starts at 8 p.m. Central time.
