Friday Flashback: Carmichael on 250s, Lusk & Huffman Take Mini GP

Carmichael interview and 1990 World Mini GP

Before assuming "G.O.A.T." (Greatest of All Time) status, three-time AMA 125cc National Motocross Champion Ricky Carmichael was just a freckled 20-year-old motocross racer — a racer carrying all the momentum of a 35-ton runaway cement truck. Careening headfirst into the 250cc class for the upcoming national motocross and Supercross seasons, we interviewed Carmichael about his career goals, strategy, and how being short can be an advantage...

Seeing how former AMA Supercross Lites champion Damon Huffman will be racing a Quantya electric bike at this weekend's inaugural ECX (Energy CrisisCross) at the GEICO MiniMoto SX in Las Vegas, Nevada, a story of Huffman and Ezra Lusk taking the NMA World Mini GP (also hosted in Sin City) on some old-fashioned gas-powered bikes seemed appropriate.
