According to a press release issued today by Vance & Hines, Freedom Motorsports, the competition arm of Vance & Hines, will be renamed Vance & Hines Motorsports. With the renaming to Vance & Hines Motorsports, it will be easy for the consumer and fan to identify the competition side of the company, according to V&H.

Vance & Hines Motorsports will remain in Trinidad, Colorado and will be responsible for all aspects of drag racing competition and racing activities.

“Our initial plans for Byron Hines’ move to Colorado were on a very small scale," said Terry Vance, president of Vance & Hines Racing. "However, with the expansion of our racing efforts in IHRA Top Fuel Harley-Davidson, NHRA Eagle One and Screamin’ Eagle Pro Stock teams, Byron and I feel it has become necessary to eliminate the current confusion regarding who Freedom Motorsports is and what their relationship is with Vance & Hines Racing.”
