Corona Extra Honda's Neil Hodgson underwent surgery on his left shoulder on Thursday, March 26 - surgery to fix his torn rotator cuff and other shoulder problems after his motocross training crash on Sunday, March 15. The Brit will not make this weekend's round of the AMA American Superbike Championship at Road Atlanta."There's no way I can go," Hodgson said yesterday at Broc Glover's Breathe Easy Ride, a charity ride that featured a plethora of racing legends.

In addition to the shoulder woes, Hodgson broke all five ribs on the right side of his back."That's the worst part," Hodgson said prior to signing autographs at Glover's ride. "I bet I literally had four hours of sleep last night. It's impossible to get comfortable."Hodgson, who will be replaced again by Jake Holden at Road Atlanta, is confident of being back in action in the fourth round of the series at Barber Motorsports Park, May 2-3.
