Newly crowned 2013 AMA Supersport East Champion Corey Alexander will make his debut in the Daytona SportBike class this weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, joining teammate James Rispoli for the season finale. The National Guard Celtic Racing crew has been working hard to make the necessary changes to bring Alexander's bike up to Daytona SportBike specifications and Alexander will race running number 23 on the GSX-R600.

The 19 year old from New York looks to build on his momentum from New Jersey Motorsports Park, where he secured the 2013 Supersport title. Laguna Seca is a track that Alexander has always enjoyed and found success while racing at in the past, and is eager to put his speed and confidence to good use in front of the World Superbike audience.

“I'm really excited for this weekend as I get to make my debut in the Daytona SportBike class,” Alexander said in a release issued by the team. “After winning the championship I can go into the last race of the year stress free - and just work for a good result.”

This afternoon it was announced that Alexander will be heading to France after the Laguna round. He will race at PTR Honda in the French and Spanish rounds of the World Supersport Championship...
