AMA Pro Racing is asking for proposals for companies interested in becoming an "official partner" of AMA Pro Racing and the exclusive supplier of ECUs for its Superbike Championship, beginning in 2014 at the earliest.

AMA Pro Racing has been investigating possible appropriate modifications to the electronic rules for its Superbike class with direct consultation of O.E. manufactures, teams and aftermarket suppliers, according to AMA Pro.

"Many options have been comprehensively evaluated in the common interest of providing an equitable, cost-effective, enforceable and sustainable racing platform while instilling growth and interest in the sport of motorcycle road racing," the release issued today says. "This latest open RFP is being extended to ensure every option has been considered before finalizing any future technical rules."

Proposals may be submitted to:

AMA Pro Racing

Attn: Technical Department

525 Fentress Blvd., Suite B

Daytona Beach, FL 32118

P: 386-492-1014

The final date for ECU manufacturers to submit their proposal is December 14, 2012 and AMA Pro Racing says it will announce any modifications to the 2014 Superbike electronic rules by December 31, 2012.
