HOHENSTEIN-ERNSTTHAL, GERMANY, JULY 10: Luis d’Antin has resigned from the team which once bore his name. The Spanish now former team owner is no longer involved with the Alice Team, which evolved out of the Pramac d’Dantin Ducati team that has been Ducati’s lone satellite squad since 2004, when it fielded Neil Hodgson and Ruben Xaus. The Alice Team issued a statement saying that d’Antin had “announced his resignation from the position.” It’s likely the resignation came with some pressure. Rumors about the team having financial problems have been in the air for some time. The team release said that Fabiano Sterlacchini will continue to manage the technical side of the team with the logistical management continuing to be run by Felix Rodrigue, who’s been in the job for the past two years. Frenchman Sylvain Guintoli and Spaniard Toni Elias are currently campaigning the Alice Team Ducati Desmosedici GP8’s. Elias is 12th and Guintoli 16th in the championship standings.
