Samsung Crescent Suzuki's John Hopkins finished second today in the third British Superbike race of his career, the Californian finishing behind defending British Superbike Champion Ryuichi Kiyonari in the first of two races at Oulton Park."I am very happy, especially as it had been very difficult here to find a good setting for the race," HM Plant Honda's Kiyonari said on the BSB website. "Everyone in the team has worked very hard, me too as I wanted to push harder. They worked late into the night after qualifying to solve the problems we had so it was good work and I want the same in race two."Hopkins was 4.1 seconds behind Kiyonari at the finish and just two tenths ahead of MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Stuart Easton. Kiyonari's teammate Shane Byrne was fourth with Swan Yamaha's Michael Laverty rounding out the top five.
