The Pearson cousins - David and Tuffy – combined efforts to pull clear of the pack and claim the overall win at the Best In The Desert THR Motorsports Parker 250 in Parker, Arizona, January 11. The Pearsons, however, had their hands full for much of the race until the Robby Bell/Ricky Brabec duo withdrew near the halfway point with a broken motorcycle, grounded by a hole in the engine cases, mostly likely caused by a rock.

The Western Designs/VP Racing Fuels/O’Neal Kawasaki KX450F ridden by David and Tuffy ended up taking the win 10 minutes clear of the next bike, a Speed Freaks Apparel-backed Honda CRF450R ridden by BITD rookies Jordan Kundert and Blake Stouard.

The third-place finishing team was also made up of new BITD participants, Open Pro winners Sammy Bangert and Skyler Howes on the Blais Racing Services/Fasst Company/FMF/Amsoil KTM 300 XC.

Teammates Brendan Crow and Ben Menza, and Curtis Bradley and Jeremy Purvines rounded out the top five overall.
