Factory Husaberg rider Nick Fahringer went from the excitement of his career-best third overall finish at the Marquette National Enduro to the disappoint of realizing his 2008 season was over just three days later after tearing his ACL during practice.

Fahringer, who currently sits fourth in the National Enduro Series points, was looking to have his best season yet. "I'm real upset to have to put an early end to my best season so far," Fahringer said. "I'm going to re-arrange college class schedules and make time to train and prepare more for 2009 so I can come back 100% and put in a very competitive effort."

Fahringer will have surgery on his severed ACL Tuesday, July 22nd to properly treat the injury to ensure a solid comeback in 2009.
