Cross Road Adventures, promoters of the World Off Road Championship Series, has decided to postpone the fourth round of their series, scheduled to run this weekend (September 15-16) at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada. The following was taken from a statement Wednesday afternoon:

“Due to the unfortunate circumstances that have befallen our nation, we do not feel comfortable putting on a race where the primary goal of the event is that everyone enjoy themselves. We firmly believe in taking a stand against the vicious attack our country endured Tuesday morning, however our nation needs a time to mourn. We are looking at possible alternative dates and will release our final decision on Friday. If we are able to come up with a date, it will be a benefit round, and part of the proceeds from that event will be donated to a disaster relief fund. We encourage all the factories, racers and enthusiasts to help us raise money at the event, for our fellow Americans. In this time of crisis, we feel it is our duty to do whatever we can to support the men, women and families that have given their lives for our great nation. We will post our decision on Friday after 12:00 noon at www.worcsracing.com. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families that are suffering from this senseless tragedy.”
