The first annual WORCS Week wrapped up last weekend where former AMA Motocross Champion Mike Brown captured the number-one plate aboard his Muscle Milk/Shock Doctor Factory KTM. Brown rode consistent all week to capture the overall victory. Brown will be recognized as the first Pro to collect this annual Championship.

The first annual AMA/WORCS Week took place at Straddleline ORV Park in the state of Washington, just 40 miles outside Olympia. This event incorporated four disciplines of racing: hare scramble (WHS), MXGP, WORCS Xcross, and WORCS. Each Amateur "A" class participated in the series, where 15 classes were entered and all the winners will receive AMA number-one plates.

"This event went off very well," said Sean Reddish of WORCS. "I was pleased with the turnout and the overall feedback from this event. I would like to thank ‘Homer' Roger Hamel for brainstorming this. He had an awesome, unique idea, and I think it will be back for sure. I would also like to thank Chuck Weir with the AMA for supporting us with this event and recognizing it as its own AMA Championship. The riders enjoyed the experience and are already looking ahead for next year."
