Thirteen no-emissions motorcycles started today's first-ever Isle of Man TT for the "green" motorcycles and eight of them finished, with Rob Barber taking victory in the one-lap race around the famous mountain course.Barber won the TTX GP with a time of 25 minutes, 53.5 seconds at an average speed of 87.43 mph on his Team Agni entry. Barber ended up over three minutes ahead of second placed Thomas Schoenfelder on the XXL Racing Team entry. Schoenfelder, however, was the only rider clocked at over 100 mph through the Sulby speed trap with his entry hitting the traps at 106.5 mph.One of Barber's goals was to beat the 50cc Isle of Man lap record set by Ralph Bryans in 1966 at 86.49 mph and he did so.Third went to Brammo's Mark Buckley with Cycle News test rider Thomas Montano ending up fourth.
