Italy's Fabrizio Meoni and his Gauloises-backed KTM won today's stage 13 of the Dakar Rally, held between Siwa and Dakhla. Meoni topped Richard Sainct and Cyril Despres in taking the stage win.

Meoni ended up 13 minutes ahead of Sainct with Despres a further 14 seconds behind. Sainct continues to lead the overall standings by 11 minutes over Despres, but Meoni is back in contention - 16 minutes and 44 seconds behind Sainct.
