Langenthal, Switzerland (June 5th 2018) — Motorex-supported riders have taken all three podium positions at the 2018 ErzbergRodeo Red Bull Hare Scramble. The top step went to Graham Jarvis with Jonny Walker finishing as runner-up and Manuel Lettenbichler third.
The ErzbergRodeo is often billed as the world’s toughest one-day hard enduro – the ultimate test of man and machine. Both rider fitness and bike reliability are tested to the maximum. With the top-three placing their trust in Motorex oils, it’s testament to the performance of the Swiss brand’s products.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Graham Jarvis paced himself perfectly during the course of the race. Following a characteristic steady start, Jarvis soon began picking off the riders in front of him, eventually taking the lead at around three quarters of the way through the race. From then on, the experienced Brit was never headed and cruised to his fourth win at the event, despite a late charge from Jonny Walker.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Walker made a good start, but a small mistake in the forest cost some time, dropping him down the order. Pacing himself like his British compatriot, Walker rode a superb race, fighting through the pack to ultimately claim second at the line, just 41 seconds from the win.
Carrying the form that took him to the podium at Extreme XL Lagares, Manuel Lettenbichler impressed with his ride at the 24th running of the Hare Scramble to claim third place. Arriving at the finish just three minutes behind Jarvis to claim his first podium at the event, Lettenbichler is certainly the man to watch as his speed and experience continues to increase.
Paul Bolton took his Motorex-liveried KTM to an excellent seventh place, just over half-an-hour behind the winner. The likeable Brit put in a fantastic performance to finish inside the top-10 as the highest-ranking privateer.
