Daytona Beach, FL (May 15, 2018) – American Flat Track (AFT) is happy to announce an all-new partnership with Mustang Seats to become the series’ Official Seat for the 2018 season and the title sponsor of the 2018 Mustang Seats Rookie of the Year Award.
This news further indicates Mustang’s all-in approach to its involvement in AFT. Earlier this season, Mustang announced its sponsorship of reigning Grand National Champion Jared Mees – and along with that, the introduction of a line of Jared Mees Signature Series Seats designed specifically for Indian Scout models. Additionally, Mustang developed a new racing seat for Mees’ FTR750, which has already proven itself a winner as Mees has kicked off his AFT Twins title defense in devastating fashion.
“We are delighted to welcome Mustang Seats as a new partner to American Flat Track,” said Michael Lock, CEO of American Flat Track. ”Their status as both Official Seat and as sponsor of the Rookie of the Year should cement their visibility in the sport at a time when we are growing fast.”
Founded in 1980, Mustang Seats is a worldwide leader in the design and construction of quality seats and accessories that prove style doesn’t have to be sacrificed for comfort. Each seat is handcrafted from the finest materials, resulting in the ultimate blend of character and contour.
“Flat track racing has always been rooted in the riding community,” said Mustang Creative Marketing Manager Undria Davis. “Its recent resurgence has not only been exciting to watch, it’s also generated a boon for the industry, so we knew this was a great time to get involved. Being part of the thrilling AFT action by recognizing the up-and-coming talent of the sport will help us connect with newer, younger riders and introduce them to the style, quality and comfort of Mustang Seats.”
