Cycle News Staff | May 9, 2018
The PackTalk Bold from Cardo Systems is a natural-voice-command-operated motorcycle communications system.
The waterproof unit utilizes Cardo’s proprietary Dynamic Mesh Communication technology and integrates with Apple’s Siri and “OK Google” voice-command platforms, so it no longer requires a specific activation action, such as push-to-talk. Up to 15 riders can wirelessly communicate with each other at a distance of up to five miles, and it has Bluetooth 4.1 to connect with other devices.
With the new Cardo Systems PackTalk Communication Systems, riders can say “Hey Cardo” and tell it what they want, and it will do the rest. This means riders can keep their hands on the bars.
It uses Natural Voice Operation that utilizes Cardo’s proprietary Dynamic Mesh Communication™ technology to seamlessly integrate with Apple’s Siri™ and “OK Google” ™ voice-command platforms.
The PackTalk communication system is IP67 certified to be waterproof, and up to 15 riders can wirelessly communicate with each other. Its rider-to-rider range is up to one mile or up to five miles when used in a group-mesh arrangement.
Cardo also has the smaller-sized PackTalk Slim version that has a bit less range and slightly smaller speakers.
Both PackTalks retail at an MSRP of $329.95 for single units and $579.95 for a Duo set.
