2019 KTM XC-W Two-Strokes | FIRST LOOK
The 2019 XC-W two-stroke enduro line from KTM sees few changes for the 2019 model year, but at least we are going to get the fuel-injected 300 TPI now. Last year, only the 250 XC-W TPI was available in the U.S., but the injected 300 joins the party for 2019. KTM will no longer offer the carbureted versions of the 250 or 300.
The third (and last) model in the XC-W two-stroke line is the carbureted 150 XC-W.
All three models get revised fork settings. They are a little stiffer to ride higher in the stroke and to help prevent bottoming.
The shock’s main piston has also been tuned for improved performance and better resistance to bottoming.
There is a new seat cover for improved grip and comfort.
The 150 XC-W takes on a few important changes of its own. It gets a new cylinder with a machined exhaust port and revised power-valve, and its kickstarter and six-speed transmission have been refined for improved reliability. It also gets a newly designed diaphragm clutch, which KTM claims is more reliable than the previous spring clutch. It’s also more compact, resulting in a 10mm narrower engine.
In the styling department, all of the bikes take on new graphics more orange coloring.
Availability and pricing have not yet been announced.
