2018 Seattle 250cc Supercross Results: It had been raining all week in the lead up to the 2018 Seattle Supercross, and it predictably led to one of the sloppiest supercross races in many years. Points leader Aaron Plessinger – known for his riding ability in less-than-ideal conditions – was dominant on his Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha.

Plessinger led every lap of his heat race to start the night, winning by nearly 58 seconds over AJE Motorsports Husqvarna’s Justin Starling, and then in the main event, he did it again, grabbing the checkered flag in the shortened main event by 33 seconds over GEICO Honda’s Chase Sexton and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo.
Upon taking the checkered flag, Plessinger celebrated by doing a belly-flop into a trackside puddle.
Early in the race, Plessinger was being chased by Cianciarulo’s teammate Joey Savatgy, who went down on lap two and remounted nearly dead last. He ended up 12th.
TLD/Red Bull KTM’s Shane McElrath assumed second when Savatgy went down, but he had his own mishap with two laps left in the race, handing the spot to Sexton, who held on for his best finish of his career. Cianciarulo was third, with McElrath hanging on for fourth, just in front of Starling, who recorded his first-ever top-five finish.
