Second Annual HighPipe Motorcycle Festival is Ready to Roll | Featuring the RSD Super Hooligan Fire Road TT, Scramble Ramble Scavenger Hunt and more.
This is a press release from HighPipe…
Irvine, CA (March 13, 2018) – How complicated does a motorcycle really need to be?
In the age of highly specialized motorcycles with head-spinning technological advancements, we’re throwing it back to traditional-style machines and pure motorcycling fun. Two wheels, an engine, and a smile—is all you need. Call it a roadster, a dual-sport, a naked sport-tourer, or a neo-classic scrambler, none of that matters to us. Whatever it is, hop on it, and roll to China Peak Mountain Resort in Lakeshore, California, for the 2018 HighPipe Motorcycle Festival, June 15–17.
The HighPipe Motorcycle Festival, is stripped down to the simple elements of fun. Our goal is to present epic riding opportunities, offering you the opportunity to explore stunning back roads and discover incredible new destinations. At Base Camp you can sharpen your skills and challenging yourself (or simply pointing and laughing at others) with our special skills course, discover the latest cool stuff from our vendors, and take in (or sign up and ride) the inaugural RSD Super Hooligan Fire Road TT.
New for HighPipe 2018
RSD Super Hooligan Fire Road TT
The second-annual HighPipe Motorcycle Festival will feature the first-ever RSD Super Hooligan Fire Road TT. Yep! Run-what-ya-brung Hooligan-style competition is about to hit the slopes at the China Peak Ski Resort, so take whatever 500-pound sled you rocked up on and line it up for a run. Or simply relax on the patio with a cold one as you watch the Hooligan shenanigans unfold in what is sure to be a general embodiment of things your mother (or, you know, basic logic) warned you never to do.
Test It!
Your chance to try cool new stuff.
Isn’t is silly that you rarely get a chance to try motorcycle products before you buy them? Our friends at Honda want to hook you up, offering attendees the chance to ride some of it latest machines at this year’s event.
Last year, Ducati Scrambler and BMW offered people the chance to go for a spin. As for the aftermarket, Bell Helmets, Klim, Alpinestars, and more gave HighPipers a chance to ride in it before putting down their hard-earned dollars. We will be announcing more participants for 2018 soon.
Scramble Ramble Scavenger Hunt by Bridgestone Tires
Whisky Falls, Bald Mountain, the exact center of California—these are things people should see with their own eyes. Then post on social media so the rest of the world can marvel at their accomplishment and wish, if only for a moment, that they could be you. So that is sort of what the Scramble Ramble Scavenger Hunt is all about, a mile-high scavenger hunt to discover several cool points of interest spread across the Sierra Nevada.
Everyone is welcome to take part. You can download the challenge from our partners at Rever, utilizing their app to find your way, or grab a good old-fashioned map and go search out as many points as possible. Once you find the location, share via Instagram and mark on your score card. Each point you find enters you into Saturday evening’s drawing for cool stuff.
More Features:
- The adventure starts with getting there. North, south, east or west—we are laying out epic rides (or drives, if you must) to get you to HighPipe Base Camp at China Peak Mountain Resort. Suggested routes are ready and waiting for download from our site.
- HighPipe takes place at the end of California Highway 168, which is the start of epic back roads and cool points of interest. We’ve primed local townies and mountain trolls for a list of the absolute best mountain rides and will have them ready to share at the event.
- Tame that steed. The Scramblekhana Skills Course is a series of low-speed challenges that will allow you to try your bike (better yet—your buddy’s) and find out just what it can do off the tarmac.
- Show that thang! From perfect preservations to full-on customs of motorcycles new and old, everyone is welcome to join the show. Additionally Cycle World, Street Chopper, and Cruiser will be inviting some of today’s top builders to share their work and join in on a ride or two.
- Check it out. Bell Helmets and others will be on hand to let you get “all up inside that” with their latest gear and products.
- Eat. China Peak will have several food options available throughout the day and evening.
- Brew? Yes! When the riding is done, a generous selection of microbrews and other libations will await at the two China Peak lounges. In fact, China Peak offers three beers brewed for, and exclusively available at, China Peak. Try Garage Sales Pale Ale, Peak Pilsner, and Sequoia Pow Day.

We have a long list of epic and fun activities we will be announcing soon. Stay tuned for more.
