Jeffrey Carver Jr. Announces New Title Sponsorship – Jeffrey Carver Jr. announced the addition of Roof Systems as the title sponsor to his American Flat Track AFT Twins program with Ben Evans Racing. The team has also received additional support from Indian of Metro Milwaukee and will feature the Indian FTR750, with the option to run last year’s bikes, in its battle against the factory squads for the 2018 American Flat Track premier-class title.

Carver turned a lot of heads last year with his masterclass performance at the Lone Star Half-Mile after beating the factory squads with a small privateer effort – himself and tuner Ben Evans. Everyone loves an underdog, but it was more than that for long-time flat track fan Jerry Stinchfield Jr., the owner of Roof Systems.
“He reminds me of the ‘70s, that era, that type of flat track racer,” said Stinchfield. “He’s got this grittiness. He’s got this attitude, ‘this is who I am, if you don’t like me, tough.’ He’s just good people. Also, he’s really truly coming into his own. I’ve been watching him for a long time and I think this year is the year for Jeffrey Carver. We’re aiming for the championship. I think we’re going to win some races, just like he put a whooping on them last year in Texas.”
It is also a perfect match for Carver, who feels that part of the secret to a successful team is being on the same page, and fostering a fun and friendly atmosphere inside the team. He and tuner Ben Evans have built their program around this philosophy and having a guy like Stinchfield on board helps complete their “Dream Team.”

“I’m really ecstatic,” Carver said. “It’s great to have Roof Systems stepping in this year to support us and having Indian of Metro Milwaukee on board as well. Last year, Ben [Evans] and I got talking. We were like, ‘it would be great to meet somebody that really just wants to go have fun and be able to beat the factory teams.’ I kind of just envisioned it all year. I wanted to meet that person that really wants to go have fun, without all of the politics there. When Jerry and I met it just all came together; from then on forward it’s always been good energy. We formed a good friendship. I think that’s the most important thing. We laugh. We have fun. We’re excited. He knows I’ll do my best. It’s great to have somebody there like that’s on my side now.”
Like Carver, Evans is also looking forward to the new season with some new bikes and to be able to return as their core group with the addition of some great new partners.
“We’re really excited,” Evans said. “We have some new people on board this year and some new equipment to work with. We feel like it’s the same team we had last year with just more support. It’s Jeffrey and I just going out and doing our thing and having fun.”
