We Have a Quick Chat with Motorex’s Tim Schulz at the 2017 KTM Adventure Rider Rally.
The 2017 KTM Adventure Rider Rally was held in Crested Butte, Colorado for the second time in three years. With nearly 500 attendees including a massive staff of KTM event planners, celebrity riders, world-class racers and helpful technicians, it was a popular destination, to say the least. On top of that, nearly 30 vendors from the Adventure Motorcycling industry showcased their latest adventure-motorcycle gear and services.
We had a quick chat with Motorex’s Tim Schulz inside their booth at the KTM Adventure Rider Rally to see why they made the trip, what kind of cool new stuff they have and what they think the KTM Adventure Rider Rally is all about.
What Motorex product is drawing the most interest from the attendees here at the KTM Rally?
Tim Schulz: So far, a lot of people have been coming by our booth to just say thanks for making a great product. Obviously most of the people here are KTM owners and they’re very familiar with the brand Motorex being the recommended oil for any oil changes in the KTMs as well as the factory oil supplier and first fill or every bike leaving the KTM factory.
We also get a lot of interest in our other products besides the oil here. We have cleaners such as Moto Clean, which is a bike wash, our chain lubes are really popular as is our chain-cleaning products. We’ve been helping riders with coolant, brake fluids and pretty much any maintenance item you can think of for these KTM Adventure bikes.
Why should riders consider attending the KTM Adventure Rider Rally?
Tim Schulz: We do a lot of events and a lot of the time we’re standing around talking to motorcyclists about our products inside a building or something—not outside—and we rarely have the opportunity to have the chance to actually ride a motorcycle and participate in the event like a customer would. For us, it’s great to get out there with customers. For attendees to come to a cool location and get a chance to put the motorcycle through the riding they’re actually designed for is pretty awesome.
