33 Superpoles For Sofuoglu

Sofuoglu smashed it out of the park once again in Superpole.

Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) has made up for the lost races he had at the start of the season with some champion’s performances, including being fastest in Superpole 2 qualifying at Misano, despite suffering some technical issues and a crash on Friday.

His 33rd career pole was this third of the season, and took him further ahead in the all-time lists.

Jules Cluzel (CIA Landlord Insurance Honda) was the next best rider, only 0.098 seconds back, with Thailand race winner Federico Caricasulo (GRT Yamaha Official WorldSSP Team) in third place.

Championship leader after six rounds, Lucas Mahias (GRT Yamaha Official WorldSSP Team), stepped up to the grid contest with fourth best time in hot conditions.

Italian rider Christian Gamarino (BARDHAL EVAN BROS. Honda Racing) slotting into fifth, with battling British rider Luke Stapleford (Profile Racing Triumph) the top three-cylinder runner on a relatively bad day for the MV Agusta riders, in sixth place.

Sheridan Morais (Kallio Race System Yamaha) went seventh and will share the race third row with Patrick Jacobsen (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) and Kyle Smith (GEMAR Balloons – Team Lorini Honda).

The third British rider in the top ten places was Gino Rea (Team GO ELEVEN Kawasaki).
