“Anaheim was a rough one,” explained the rider of the No. 19 Suzuki RM-Z450. “I had a rough crash during practice earlier in the week and then I had an issue, not sure exactly what happened, but I came up way short on a jump and ended up going down during the first lap of the heat. I slammed my chest pretty good and ended up having some trouble breathing. I tried going back out in the semi and just feel things out but I didn’t feel good at all. I felt kind of like a hazard out there. I went back to the truck and decided to go to the hospital and get checked out. I wasn’t sure what was going on. I ended up spending the night in the hospital and luckily it wasn’t anything major. I’m blessed to be up and walking around. It could have been a lot worse. I’m hoping some rest and a little extra therapy will do the trick so I can be ready for Oakland next weekend. No sense in being out there if I’m not 100 percent.”
