2017 Baltimore Arenacross Results: Jace Owen saw his winning streak come to an end during the third stop of the Amsoil Arenacross Series at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, January 20-21, but he still came away with a strong weekend in the first double-header of the season.

Owen (TiLUBE/Jack Link’s/TUF Racing Honda) continued his winning ways Friday night by topping both main events, just like he did the previous two rounds. Owen led Gavin Faith (Team Babbitt’s/Monster Energy/AMSOIL Kawasaki) across the finish line in first place in the first main event, with Chris Blose (Rockstar Energy/OTSFF/Yamaha), Steven Mages (Custom Powersports/Spinechillers/TiLUBE Racing Kawasaki) and Matt Goerke (Rockstar Energy/OTSFF/Yamaha) rounding out the top five.
It was the second night of racing that thing started to unravel a bit for Owen. For the first time in the young season, Owen was shut out on the night, though he still claimed second overall for the weekend with 2-4 results.

Faith ended up being Owen’s weekend spoiler. Faith won both nights, which included an all-out battle with Owen in the first main event. Faith nailed the holeshot and was closely chased by Owen the whole way. Later in the race, however, Faith began to open up a small lead which he carried to the finish line, officially snapping Owen’s winning streak of five main event wins. Mages took third followed by Travis Sewell (Kawasaki) and Daniel Herriein (KTM).
Faith passed Steinke for the lead in the second main event and then ran off with his second victory of the night, and with it, the overall Baltimore AX win.
Owen couldn’t do much with a bad start and finished fourth behind Faith, Goerke and Steinke.
In the overall column, Faith was the big winner with a 1-1, Owen was second with a 2-4 and Goerke was third with a 7-2. Owen did win both RMATV/MC Head 2 Head Challenge races over the weekend, earning two points towards the championship, which he still leads comfortably. After three rounds, Owen leads Faith by 20 points, with Goerke another three points back in third. Steinke and Ben Lamay (8-5 on the night) complete the top five.

Both Cooper and Harrison have two main event wins so far.
