Washington native Ricky Russell coming home to race EnduroCross in Everett
This is a press release from EnduroCross…
Irvine, CA. (October 20, 2016) – Ricky Russell is a Washington native but he has spent the past four seasons competing on the East Coast. The 25-year-old from Duvall, Washington (just east of Seattle) likes the tight-woods racing found at the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series and has had a breakout season in 2016. Russell has two consecutive podium finishes in the top XC1 pro class at the two most recent rounds. With an off weekend, he decided to head back to Washington to compete at the Everett EnduroCross.
Russell has competed at EnduroCross events in the past but his most recent race was the Atlanta round in 2014. So he will need to quickly adapt from the three-hour GNCC format to the high-intensity EnduroCross format. Local fans can cheer on the #212 Obermeyer, MCS Suzuki as Russell attempts to put the bike into the main event.
This weekend’s Everett, Washington event will be held inside the XFINITY Arena on Saturday, October 22nd. The Arena is open for free for the daytime practice and qualification sessions that start at 10:00 am. Then the Arena opens back up to the public at 6:00 pm with opening ceremonies at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available at: www.EnduroCross.com/buy-tickets/
You can also get tickets locally at the following Powersports dealers:
Cycle Barn Motorsports: www.cyclebarn.com
