WorldSSP: Sofuoglu Leads Day One In Germany

Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) was a clear 0.473 seconds ahead of his closest rival in the Supersport World Championship after the first two practice session at Lausitzring on Friday, despite suffering a technical problem in the morning.
The four-time world champion had Britain’s Gino Rea (GRT MV Agusta) as his closest challenger on the opening day. Wildcard Lausitz rider – Niki Tulli (Kallio Racing Yamaha) – placed an impressive third, with the official MV Agusta Reparto Corse F3 of Jules Cluzel fourth.
Federico Caricasulo (BARDAHL Evan Bros. Honda Racing) scored fifth in the early timesheets, with the second Honda rider in the early practice rankings being Christoffer Bergman (CIA Landlord Insurance Honda) in sixth.
Ayrton Badovini (GEMAR Balloons – Team Lorini Honda) was again near the sharp end in seventh place and PJ Jacobsen (Honda World Supersport Team) made it four Honda riders in a row in eighth.
The three-cylinder Daytona 675 of Luke Stapleford (Profile Racing Triumph) was ninth, one up on championship challenger Randy Krummenacher (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing), who rounded out a top ten covered by 1.312 seconds.
