Taylor Robert Tops Mulley Run Hare And Hound
| August 29, 2016
Arizona’s Taylor Robert, who had never raced a hare and hound race in his life, came away with the overall victory at the Mulley Run National Hare & Hound in Nevada, August 28, round five of the KendaSRT AMA Hare & Hound National Championship Series.
By the time Robert clicked his Red Bull/FMF KTM into fourth gear, he had already taken the lead. From that moment on, he never looked back and scored the victory in the three-loop race.
“I’m trying something I’ve kind of always wanted to do but never really had a good opportunity to,” Robert said. “Maybe it’s something to look forward to next year”
FMF KTM support rider Gary Sutherlin finish second overall in what was his first race since having his spleen removed as a result from a big crash earlier this year.
Husqvarna’s Jacob Argubright got on the podium in third.
Finishing just five seconds behind Argubright was Purvines Racing Beta’s Axel Pearson, while Pearson’s teammate Nick Burson rounded out the top five overall.
