WORCS: Dalton Shirey Takes Sand Hollow Win

Dalton Shirey, on the Zip Ty Racing-backed Husqvarna, captured his first ever WORCS victory in the Pro division after taking top honors at Sand Hollow State Park, in Hurricane, Utah, April 17.
Shirey battled early on with former WORCS champ Gary Sutherlin before pulling away and taking the victory ahead of Sutherlin’s KTM.
Third place went to defending champ Robby Bell (Kawasaki), followed by Colton Udall (Honda) and Eric Yorba (KTM).
In Pro 2, Honda rider from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, crossed the finish line with two minutes to spare over runner-up Zane Roberts and another two minutes over Alex Dorsey (KTM).
Dante Oliveira and his KTM took a narrow victory over Clayton Hengeveld (Kawasaki) in Pro2 Lites. Just 20 seconds separated the two riders at the finish.
Third went to Riley Snow.
In the Women’s Pro class, things were even closers, as Tatum Sik (Honda) took the win just a few seconds ahead of Brandy Richards (Yamaha).
Tara Gieger (Honda) was third.
