Farmingdale, NJ (April 18, 2016) – Bel-Ray-sponsored racers, Ken Roczen of RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing and Jason Anderson of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing secured second- and third-place overall finishes at the 14th round of the AMA Supercross season in St. Louis, MO.
Ken Roczen of RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing fought a hard battle in the 20-lap main event to earn his spot on the podium for the third week in a row. After a minor mishap halfway through the race, Roczen was able to remain calm and take back his second place position from fellow Bel-Ray sponsored rider Jason Anderson. Roczen also remains in second place overall in 450SX rider points standings for the season.
“I didn’t have the best jump out of the gate on the start but I snuck around the inside and found myself in a good position,” said Roczen. “I came in too hot in that turn and washing the front end. It’s the third time in a row we’ve come in second. We’re fighting really, really hard and I’m having a blast.”
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider and Bel-Ray sponsored racer, Jason Anderson, also returned to the podium, placing third in the 450SX. Starting out of the gate in fourth place, Anderson quickly made his way up to third. Anderson continued to fight for second place throughout the main event, but ultimately finished third. Anderson also continues to hold third place in overall rider point standings.
“I started up front once again and finished on the podium,” said Anderson. “But I want more. I need to get holeshots, not just good starts, and I want to win races, not just be on the podium. I know I’m capable and I know my Husqvarna FC 450 is capable.”
